Kia cee’d wins in Auto Express Driver Power survey

The KIA ceed - Auto Express Survey winnerAuto Express magazines yearly Driver Power car owner reliability and satisfaction survey reveals today that the Kia ceed ranked the most highly in the C-Segment class (compact family car category). Driver Power is run in conjunction with the Daily Telegraph and provides independant and honest views of drivers in the UK and this was the ceed’s debut in the survey.

Owners are asked to assess their vehicles performance in key areas including practicality, build quality, reliability and running costs and more than 21,400 owners contributed their views. Paul Philpott, Managing Director, Kia Motors (UK) Ltd., said, “Kia has come a long way and these results underline our belief in the design, quality and value of our products. But don’t take our word, our customers are doing the talking through the Driver Power survey.”

The Kia ceed ranked as the 6th best overall car in the survey, outranking and outperforming is closest competitor, the Volkswagen Golf, which only ranked 22nd overall. Paul Philpott went on to say “”Yes, you can pay more for a Volkswagen Golf, but these results ask why”. Editor-in-Chief of Auto Express David Johns also stated “The fact that the Kia cee’d beat the Volkswagen Golf is one of the most significant results in Driver Power’s history”
